I see this the most on Trulia Voices. People ask questions and the answers can be so asinine. Or it typically goes under the headline of "contact me or your Realtor and I/they can help..."

JUST ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION.

Answer enough and you build a following.

 var name_fld = document.getElementById('sbmgOptinValidateForm289' + '_' + name);
 var email_fld = document.getElementById('sbmgOptinValidateForm289' + '_' + email);
 var reg = /^([A-Za-z0-9_\-\.])+\@([A-Za-z0-9_\-\.])+\.([A-Za-z]{2,4})$/;
 var msg = '';
 if ( name_fld.value == '' ) msg = '- Name Required\n';
 if ( reg.test(email_fld.value) == false ) msg += '- Valid Email Required';
 if ( msg == '' ) return true;
 else alert(msg);
 return false;
 }

Teaching Social Media techniques for some some time now, one of the biggest and most common mistakes we see in social media is people trying to sell, or having their page just about them.

Mix it up a little, if people don't participate or reply on your comments or questions, don't be offended or discouraged, some will - some won't.

It takes time to have a loyal list of followers. Its not just about how many friends you have, it's about quality as well.

Another great post Duncan.
